Well, we made it. Our flight left Seattle right on time, about 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. RYan was a trooper in the airport, watching planes and eating some nuggets from Burger King. He was so appreciative of the food, that I finally asked Jim what he ate for breakfast. Imagine our surprise when we realized that neither of us had fed him Tuesday morning! Neither had the girls. No wonder he was "starbing" when he begged for nuggets!
Our biggest prayer request for the trip had to do with Ryan. He was AMAZING! He took a one hour "power nap" on the flight to Tokyo and was wonderful. He loves the moving sidewalks in the airport--he and Jim went 16 times! Once we boarded the plane in Tokyo, he drifted off to sleep--no suprise since it was about 2AM body time--and he slept much of the way to Beijing. He was awake and pleasant when we landed, and settled down easily for the night once we got into our room. He slept nearly all night, and awoke at 5:30. Not too bad, since I was already wide awake! He's done far better than we could have imagined.
The girls are in a room across the hall and while it seems strange to not have them in an adjoining room, it also means I don't have to see their "suitcase explosion" mess! Bonus!! :)
More in another post about our day yesterday...
